Spring Cleaning

With the clocks springing ahead at the end of the month, Spring is almost officially here... and that means a bit of spring cleaning is on order!
While we do recommend that you keep your create links page updated alongside your newsletters, if you haven't spruced up your create links page for a while, take some time now to make a few important changes and updates.
What's new for Spring/Summer 2009?
Do you have any new products, ranges or designers? Do you have a new consumer promotion or affiliate incentive? How about new banner creative or text links? Perhaps a special offer for Easter? Whatever it may be, your affiliate partners will want to know about it so that they can promote all your latest and greatest offerings. Below are some tips on how to go about managing your spring cleaning:
- How to update your Create Links page
- Log in to the merchant interface and click on Customize Affiliate Interface

- Click on the Create Links Section

- Paste in your updated HTML code, click the Preview button to review your changes, modify if necessary, and click Save Changes when you are happy with your changes

- The best way to update your Text Links
- Log in to the merchant interface and click on Link Categories

- Create "special" LinkShare categories that are most popular with affiliates - these include "Coupons" "Free Shipping" "Logos" and "Promotion/General"

- Log in to the merchant interface and click on Textual Links

- Click on the Add New Textual Links button

- Fill in all the sections in the table that appears, and be sure to select a Category, Start and End Dates, and tick Assign to All so that your partners have access to your links

- Note that by selecting one of the "Special Categories" your links will automatically be placed in the Links by Promotion section of the affiliate interface

- Submit your offers
- Log in to the merchant interface and click on Deal Dispatcher Submission Form

- Fill in all fields in the form and click submit. This way your offers will be featured in our monthly newsletter to publishers. Submission deadline each month is the 15th.
